Birthday celebrations in 1978 took place in LE TOUQUET where George
was competing and where he provoked a 'cause celebre' faithfully captured
in the sequence shown on his Birthday Card
All the well wishers who signed his card.
It all started in Weston Super Mare
and with a DN
then the great adventure of a Class 2 yacht, here George being followed by John Healy
George holding the Barwick Cup which was presented
to him and his wife Margaret (looking on) in appreciation of the
work that both had done for the Club.
The occassion including a celebration with club members and invited dignitaries.
